Laying of the Foundation of the Lodge Kenmuir Masonic Halls The laying of the foundation stone in 1909 of the Masonic Halls was a gala occasion for many local men. Bro. A.A. Haggart Speirs, the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master of Glasgow performed this duty with due pomp and ceremony. The Springburn Silver Band was also in attendance, while an uninvited audience watched interestedly from the back-court windows facing into Vulcan Street. |
